Question about DCAs and chasing debt after many years

Hi All
I previously (10+ years ago) was in a bad financial state and got myself into debt when I was young. Long story short, I settled all (but one was "satisfied") the debt after a number of defaults and my final default dropped off my report about 2 months ago.
My question is about the random DCA calls that I get every so often. Recently I have been receiving calls from Ruthbridge who I know have a bad reputation, but I havent actually spoken to them yet, just looked their number up. It's a more general question about if I really need to be worried about anything? I am trying to buy a house right now and have worked hard to clear my credit history and make it sparkling again, and I don't want that to go and be ruined by some company dragging something up and re registering it on my report etc. Whether it's Ruthbridge (who I dont intend on speak to, and theyve never written anything to me), or another DCA in the future, do I need to worry?
For the record, Ruthbridge may very well be just fishing, and may even be after a previous occupier of my property as i'm renting, so I dont know they want me, i'm only assuming because I have had debt problems in the past.
Thanks
