Does it really matter? It's unlikely you will actually win £10,000 in time to pay back your original loan.

I think you just need to come clean to whoever loaned you the money and work out some kind of repayment plan with them. Do it sooner rather than later as the longer you leave it the worse it will be.

Any self respecting banker will be able to lend you £10k interest free. A good one will probably be able to get you £20k, with the correct security, so you can sort out a nice holiday too. It won't cost you a single shekel in interest either.

Thank God that fees, charges, profit shares, spreads and non-voluntary donations are okay instead
