Physio needed in London?

I am suffering from neck/back pain, pretty much all over.

My Neck/right shoulder/upper back has been paining on and off for years as I work at a desk/computer for at least 7hrs a day.

However recently my middle/lower back has also been paining.

My company I work for have recently given all their employees corporate Bupa health insurance.

Through this cover I am entitled to choose a physiotherapist in London who will be able to assist me.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good physio clinic in London where they are known for getting results?

From a search I have seen the following -

Its good that you can get health cover but your company should also make sure you're work environment does not contribute to the pain in the first place. You should get an assessment of your work station, get regular breaks away from the pc etc. I work long days and am desk bound and used to suffer a lot but have now got new chair, desk height adjusted and make sure I have things set ergononically so I don't end up in pain
  • you should speak to BUPA or your workplace, they should provide an approved list of Physios that will accept private patients. Or, get an appointment with your DR, they will refer to you a physio and they will give you a list of practitioners close to you.
I dont work, but am covered privately. I went to DR for a referal, chose a physio. The physio accepted me as a private patient and I was able to have treatment straight away. They also said they will take me as an NHS patient and that I will be eligable for NHS sessions but the wait list was 10 weeks. So, while i was getting private care staright away (BUPA or another provider will limit your number of physio sessions, say 10, once you have finished those and your problem doesnt improve they may need you to have another assessment before you can have more sessions.), by the time my 10 private sessions were finished, I was at the top of the list for NHS sessions, so I had another 6 sessions on the NHS too. Hope that makes sense. Your DR or the private healthcare team can refer you to a physio that will accept you as a private patient.

If it is covered in the insurance I would suggest an osteopath, or failing that a chiropractor.

I had physio at the London Bridge hospital in their physio department paid for by BUPA a few years ago and they managed to completely fix an issue which had been troublesome for a few years and which even my consultant who referred me said (based on an MRI of my spine) could only be managed not completely resolved. I am sure the vertebrae are still as eroded but I have had no pain for about 5 years even during pregnancy so I am not complaining.
