Hello all.
Can I take legal action against my details being passed to a loan company? I recently received paperwork approving an application for a loan from "Amigo Loans" I have not requested or wanted.
The "broker" is a financial company I dealt with years ago but have had no dealings with for at least three years.
They passed all my details I had with them to this company without my permission. Is there anything I can do legally to stop them passing my details on in the future? Or something I can do now as I keep getting texts and paperwork through my door.

You need to look very carefully at the paperwork from when you had dealings with the broker. Is there a possibility that in the T&Cs it had a bit about passing information on? Even something about 'sharing information with carefully selected companies' or anything like that?"Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0

Due to not dealing with them for about three years I haven't got any paperwork left from them. To be honest I was glad to be rid though admittedly they were helpful and useful when I needed them.
That said, I am confident I wouldn't have allowed them to pass my details on, I have always been hugely weary and never allow my details on any company I do business with so can't imagine I would have done in the past, even the carefully selected category.0 -

That could explain it. It's easy to miss things when you're tired.:)0
