But why would you point it out ? I find some peoples attitude on this forum very unhelpful, when the post was made with the best of intentions, theres always someone with a copy of the rulebook !!!

I think the spreadsheet author has pointed out the effects this sort of thing has.

Having once been on the receiving end of an irate customer who claimed that my software damaged his system and then find it was not my software but a copy somebody had downloaded, modified and made that available with the same name etc., then I am all for random unauthorised copies of software across the internet being stamped out.

The OP had already provided a link, there was absolutely no reason whatsoever to take a copy,host and publicise it in breach of the author's terms and conditions.

Freeware doesn't not mean you can do what you like with it. There are conditions attached.

Why did I do it? For the simple reason that the OP in his blinkered little way believed he had the right to totally ignore the conditions, even when pointed out to him. I think that he still probably thinks that he had the right to do it.

Is there a way of wiping this thread and firewyrm can say I ve found a great website, and the owner can say Thankyou for telling people about it, and mugwumps can say yes I agree, and we can all play nicely in the playground again. Because the intention was good, the owner taught us all something we didn't know so fair enough.

I was actually trying to help a fellow software author protect his assets and reputation but you don't care about that at all. You believe that you were right and nothing on this Earth is going to sway you from that misguided notion, but there is always hope, maybe misplaced in your case

You were doing no such thing, you were self aggrandizing and behaving like a petty little boy tattling to teacher over some perceived slight.

If the author was serious about protecting those sheets, they would put them behind a pay-wall. They even admitted it was an insignificant infraction. You have done nothing other than annoy me and make yourself look stupid and petty. Well done.
