Ppi with Lloyd's TSB

I recently had a meeting my bank manager at Lloyd's TSB and asked about whether I had ppi on my mortgage as they had recently sent me an annual ppi review statement - I have never received one before!
The Manager was very helpful and went through the various loans I had in the past and also my mortgage - I was staggered to find that I had 5 loans that had included PPI and also my mortgage - the oldest dating back to 1989 !
I do not ever recall asking for PPI as I had a very stable job with great benefits & generous sick pay (12months full pay) so I would never have knowingly agreed to PPI.
I called Lloyd's claim line, logged my complaint and was given case ref's and today received the questionnaire.
This is where I am now struggling as the questions asked by them are how was the policy sold to you / my savings & what they were for/ my earnings at the time of the loan/ mortgage / reason for loan/ how much I owed if any if it was a consolidation loan.
I appreciate I should perhaps know a lot of this information but when I took all of these out (1989/ 2002/2003) there was no scandal about PPI so I did not keep the records after I had repaid them.
Where do I go from here?
When I met the Bank Mgr she intimated looking at the loans/ mortgages on the system, I should claim and would probably receive a tidy sum so I don't want to use a 3rd Party company & they are constantly calling me now.

When you fill in the form give as much factual information as you can. If you're not sure about some of the details then it's fine to say you're not sure or you can't remember.
Essentially they're trying to establish whether you had a need for the PPI, or whether you had other means of making repayments in the event of unemployment or illness.
Don't be tempted to guess or make up details, because if you give incorrect information it makes it easier to reject the complaint.
The main thing to concentrate on is why you feel the PPI was unsuitable for you.0 -
Thank you very much, I will try to obtain as much information as I can & will take your advice and be open & honest0
