Not winning from twitter comps

I have been doing twitter comps and made a new twitter especially for it. it's probably been about 6 months now and i enter hundreds every day. I just want to check i am doing it right and not wasting my time haha. if it says to retweet , you literally just click the retweet button right?
Does it also matter if you only just use twitter for competitions? will brands stay away from you winning if you're just using it for that?

I enter loads upon loads of twitter competitions and i've only won a couple of times,

Are you also following them when you retweet? if so they yeah, you're doing it right.. Just have to be patient, a win will come your way.

I use my twitter only for comping so you can win with just a comping twitter account

I also have an account just for comping. I enter hundreds a week and have only won 3 times since January, it's just a waiting game There are tons of people doing the exact same thing, you'll get lucky eventually though!

Haha thanks guys Yeah I totally understand that you can't expect to win, I just kind of had this awful feeling that I was wasting my time and doing the wrong thing haha but sounds like I've got it right :P

Twitter comps are probably the easiest to enter in bulk and that is why they have so many entries. I won some 'gaming headphones' worth £119 on Twitter recently but it's my first twitter win for ages and certainly the only decent thing I've ever won there.

BEWARE 'promotional products' as prizes it usually mean a pencil and some sticky notes.

I won LOADS last year.

This year nothing. Too many people have started doing it and last year (when I was concentrating on local comps and effort ones) I was winning 3/4 times a week.

Try more effort ones, you're more likely to have a win as hardly anyone enters those xx

Honestly, SparklinDiamond, I've only ever won two things from Twitter, and those weren't retweet prize draws, but "first reply wins this thing we've got knocking around" ones. So I was sure I was doing it wrong too! Nice to know we've got it right

I won for the first time on Twitter this week and it was just a retweet I was shocked thought I would never win!

Was just some lipbalms but still nice to see personally a retweet can mean a win x

Some people say you have a better chance of winning if you retweet close to the end of the draw. I don't know if that's true or not, as I say, not really won on retweets!

I'm still holding out for a Twitter win.
I try to do a big batch on Fridays - the ones with the short closing time.
I guess I just need to up my number of entries

I've won quite a few things from twitter, I usually only do them on wednesday and fridays when there's a lot more comps
