Why have i paid more tax on same amount of wages.

In week 43 of last financial year on wages of £1362 for a week I paid £233.60 in tax. Now in week 2 of this financial year on wages of £1345 for a week I have paid £333.04 in tax. Can anyone explain why this is please.

what are your tax codes for each year?
were you working for the same employer for the whole of last year?
looks like that week last year was underpaid but it could be be because you had overpaid earlier on that year

The tax figure for week 2 of this year is correct so the question is why was your tax so low for week 43 of last year.
To answer this you need to give a bit more information.
For week 43 you need to give the taxable gross to date and the tax paid to date and for week 42 the taxable gross, tax paid, tax code, tax basis, the taxable gross to date and tax paid to date.

Tax is usually calculated cumulatively for the whole year each time payroll is run, and what you've already paid to date is deducted

So if there was a period during last year when you didn't work or your income was lower, that could explain it.

The most likely explanation is that the OP's average earnings last year to week 43 were below the level at which 40% tax would be deducted; whereas this year the average to week 2 takes the OP into the 40% band. If the OP provides the full figures I asked for this can be checked.
