Hi! I started comping a few days ago and just had a quick beginners question about Facebook comps: If sharing a post (as required by most comps) does it make a difference what privacy level you set it at? i.e. if I set it as 'only me' rather than 'public' does it mean the host page can still see that I shared the post? Or does it invalidate my entry?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

You need it to be public so the company can see your share.
Setting it to only you, will not show the share, and therefore you probably won't win.

Or do like me & never enter a Fb share type comp :-)
I only enter via likes & Apps.0 -
Share too much and you will get your FB account restricted0

If I tag the company in the share post in theory they can view it, whereas my friends can't. Saying that I might just hold off on the 'like and share' comps unless it's something I don't mind sharing/really want to win!
Thanks for all the helpStarted comping April 2014

I entered one via an ap - can't remember what it was - but despite this and them having my email address they still only announced the winner on their facebook page, sheer luck I found out. I hate these 'winner to contact us' facebook comps. Seems aps are no guarantee it won't happen that way.0

Oh dear, Facebook seems to be very unreliable from what I can see! Will have to be vigilant and check the prizes I really want!Started comping April 2014
