Tabletop ironing boards

I got rid of my large ironing board when I realized that it was getting used less than once a week and it was taking up large amounts of space. I iron stuff for work and for evenings out only. Slovenly, I know.
Instead I use the dining table which is fine but makes shoulders particularly difficult to iron. I was considering getting one of those tiny 'sleeve boards' but have seen a mini board, about half the size of a normal board, for £7 and I'm tempted.
Has anyone got one/used one? Are they any good? Do they have a tendency to scoot around on the table if you apply pressure to them, or collapse?

What is an iron ?Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

The only time that I ever used one was years ago in the States. My cousin had one when she was living in temporary accommodation. Hers was a darn nuisance - kept 'scooting around' the table top. No idea if it perhaps had no 'rubber grippers' on its feet - plus the table top could have been 'formica' .................. but it certainly put me off ever having one.
I iron so infrequently, that my OH threatens to take out a front page headline in the local paper ..........................
My own ironing board folds down flat and gets stashed in that very narrow gap between the wardrobe and the bedroom wall - we live in a flat ................ and the iron sits at the very back of the bottom cupboard in the kitchen - gathering dust.

On the occasions I have to iron (which was never but will be now infrequently since I recently bought an iron) I always stick a bath sheet on the kitchen work surface to iron on.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Glad its not just me that doesn't iron regularly
I will give it a miss for the time being and try out using a towel for the sleeves and shoulders. Never thought of that...0 -
my MIL never owned an ironing board - she used the kitchen table too. I don't think she knew the towel trick - shoulders on her garments had a knife sharp 'seam'.0

I've got one of these from Ikea and have never had any problems with it
