Raising Money For USA University
Options
My son has been accepted into the California Institute of Art on an Animation Character Design course following his degree in animation at Wolverhampton University. They only take 40 students and this year my son is one of only 2 UK students accepted.
Unfortunately I can't afford the £25,000 a year course fee; this is a prestigious University for Animation. He has been awarded $10,000 by the Institute to help towards his costs but we have been unable to find him a sponsor or apprenticeship.
It would be a shame for him to miss such a fantastic opportunity. Can anyone suggest any Companies or Organisations that would be able to help?
All he has to offer is his animation skills in return and would be willing to work for free during holiday periods and also be contracted to any supporting company for a set period of time following graduation.

I cannot help with recommendations of how he could raise the money, however a quick look at their website (if this is the same course your son is looking at) shows it's a 4 year course, at roughly £25k a year tuition, excluding living expenses etc.
I'd say you're going to need nearer £40k, as California is not a cheap place to live. Also, to get an F1 visa (the visa your son will likely get to study in the USA), he'll have to show he has the funds in the bank to cover his full tuition and living expenses for the first year.
If it's a 4 year course, what happens after the first year even if he manages to get the money together? If it's only a 1 year course, then £30k-£45k is still a lot of money to find.0
