Strange Tweet notification...

Checking my comping email account and I had a notification of a tweet to me from @HanleysConfec.

It had all the hallmarks of a twitter account that's been hacked.

Went to my Twitter account via another tab and looked at my notifications and mentions, but the notification I received was not there- there may be a delay of course.

Checked their twitter account and there was a number of these type of posts @(twitter name) single line message and a shortened link.

I've reported it as spam and blocked it at the moment.

Anyone else had this this afternoon?

They've tweeted to say they were hacked and have changed their password and deleted all the dodgy tweets

Also rather than block them and report them from spam I tend to tweet the person sending the spammy tweet (if its out of character for them) and let them know so they can sort it out.

I'll unblock them tomorrow now they're sorted.
