Sudocrem prizes not allocated

Just wondered what we all thought about this competition.


5 of the ipads weren't won and they are rolling over those into a new comp starting in May.


Edit - apparently 3 out of the six were won, not one as I had read from a post I now notice was from 9th april.


To me it seems a bit off. Like false advertising. Do other people feel the same?

i played this every day and didnt win anything? surely they had enough players that they could have given them away fair and square!

The app wouldn't work for me and I think others were having the same problem.

Yes I have been playing daily and despite winning 20 odd 50p vouchers which I have no intention of using I won nowt how do you know how many prizes were left. It is a bit tight running a competition and only giving away one main prize!

oh that seems unfair.. if your advertising win one of 6, then 6 should be in that competition, they should have ran the comp until all squeezes had been used so all the prizes could have been won. I wondered what happened to it this morning, there were loads of 'squeezes left' so has it finished? I won a sudocrem goodie bag on this, but i was only playing everyday for the chance at one of the 6 ipads!

I actually do not see the issue with this personally

The terms listed the date it ended and if enough people had entered and "squeezed" in the timeframe they would have all gone

Its the same as a lot of the instant wins to be honest

It's just a weird situation that I've not seen before so I wanted to canvas opinion on it. With 12 million squeezes left to go, they must have realised that the prizes would never be won.

All seems fair to me. They stated the day the comp would end. Every squeeze had a chance to win any of the remaining prizes. It's a bit like the lottery, every entry has a chance of winning, but wins are not guaranteed, in their normal games anyway.

If they're rolling the remainder of prizes to a new comp in May, I think that's generous of them.

As long as the game mechanics were correctly random I don't see it as a problem, just a bonus that they are going to offer them again.
With the mag daily instant wins if there is no winner by the closing date that's it.

i managed to win a £40 pizza express voucher which arrived today so guess they couldn't be sure how many squeezes would be done a day and clearly over estimated.

It depends how they word their T&Cs. If it said "6 iPads must be won" then you'd expect them to allocate them all. However many comps - particularly I've noticed on purchase ones - often seem to say (eg) "6 iPads to be won" meaning there are 6 available but they won't necessarily give them all away.
Similarly with the Lotto as someone has pointed out, or say McDonalds Monopoly - if nobody finds the instant win sticker then the prize goes unclaimed!
