Hi
I moved into a flat not long ago, the neighbours are a problem and i need to move out again as i have lost a couple of days from work because of it. This is private let accommodation, the lettings agency and owner agreed to release me early from my tenency agreement.
I have seen a nice flat which seems to have no issues, the problem is if i took this property on it would wipe out my whole salary for the month. Therefore i am looking at a personal loan or a Credit Card.
I had previous credit card defaults from when i was made redundant but they were taken off my credit file about 5 years ago. I still pay them a small fee but does not affect my ability to pay any new arrangements.
Can someone please advise what i should do, i am looking for around £500, family is not an option to borrow from.
Thanks

Is this for a deposit? Will the landlord accept a card payment?
Do you have an overdraft?0 -
i dont have an overdraft, i should think the lettings agy will accept card payments. it is for the deposit as its £600 plus rent of £400My Signature is MY OWN!!0

I dont like being in debt but i cant afford to lose any more days out of work as its costing the business money too. I wish i could pick up a second job for the weekend but i'm knackered enough with what i have to deal with as it is. I just need a small loan to see me through this, and i'd would like to pay it off early if i can as i have havent took out any more debt since the default first went on over 10 years ago. As i wanted to have a clear conscience and not rely upon it and get messed up again should i lose a job.My Signature is MY OWN!!0

What is this peer to peer lending i have heard about, is it any good, the credit union doesn't seem to be an option i've heard that you have to put money into it first before you can take out a loan?My Signature is MY OWN!!0

Have you tried asking work for a salary advance? If not, a card would seem the easiest way to go for you, just pay it off as soon as you can.0

No i really dont want to be indebted to work, i wouldn't feel comfortable with that.
I havent had anything to do with credit cards for 10 years so i dont understand all this 0% interest transfers and anything else created since then. can someone advise, which way I should go here?My Signature is MY OWN!!0 -

Balance transfers aren't relevant to your situation. Just get a card and use it, then pay it off asap.0
