Hi, i was just in the reclaiming bank charges forum and read about someone being offered a loan from a bank they had an overdraft with to pay of the overdraft. They carried to say this was unlawful? My question is is this unlawful, as i was in the same situation with HFC but with a credit card. I was basically told they wouldnt stop my monthly charges but will give me a loan to pay of the credit card. The loan was for £659 payable over 48 months with £66.72 total interest (£15.12month) total amount payable £725.76. I of course accepted as i didnt want the monthly charges to carry on.
