Google Adsense question

Options
Hello all,

I wondered if anyone familiar with Adsense might be able to offer some help. I've had an Adsense account for about 4 years, and for the first 2-3 years, I was earning a small amount, perhaps a few quid a month, based on YouTube clicks.

Recently, despite still getting the clicks (admittedly less, but still some), my income is zero. Not even pennies are being added to my balance, and I'm completely at a loss as to why. Below are two performance reports, one from 2010, and one from about a month ago. Am I doing something wrong to have my Adsense income drop to nothing despite getting the clicks?

Any suggestions and help appreciated.

  • Very unusual. CPC is very low and sometime get discarded but it can't be all of them for sure unless fake click or accidental clicks (quick click and close). Google is very hard to figure out now these days.
:T:j:mad::p:D;):eek::rotfl::A this are the signs of a lunatic.
  • I'm not entirely sure about your question, are you asking why your CPC is so low (£0.01) or why your account balance (not pictured) isn't increasing? If it's the latter there were changes made sometime in 2013 to how Youtube revenue is reported through adsense, although I'm not entirely sure how the changes will have affected you it's possible that is the problem, have you checked your estimated earnings via your Analytics on Youtube? During some quick research, I found this, could this shed some light?
YouTube earnings will be added to your AdSense payments page before the 15th of the month and included in your payment if your total earnings exceed the payment threshold. Estimated earnings will not be updated to include your YouTube earnings.

If you're asking about the low CPC, it's very likely that the adverts shown against your content aren't good advertisement and that's why you're getting a few pennies at most per click.
  • Yes I believe they changed youtube Adsense clicks to actually support the company advertising now not the person with adsense on their account. This is what I heard anyway.
    Earnings since March 2014.
