Ring Santander direct and ask that the problem is. I found out, myself that some thing on my application was written down wrong.
Ring them asap!0 -
Similar boat to you, we put an application in Early-mid feb and still havent had valuation booked with Santander! We have our KFI from broker though.
Santander have asked 3 questions and each time put our application to the back of the queue again! It's now 2 months later and still waiting to hear something back from them. Broker is doing as much as he can he says and apparently Santander's products are pretty 'Hot' at the moment so we are just waiting it out....we are FTB and going for the 95% mortgage so they can be as picky as they want with us.0 -

There is no way it should have taken 8 weeks to get to this stage, I think you really need to question your broker why, are they not submitting info promptly?I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. It has been ridiculous and Santander have come back and asked a few questions regarding some things on statements and then its back of the queue again.....I do suspect that in the esarlier stages our Broker wasnt sending things off when we thought he had or said he had! But still I was credit checked on the 7th of Feb and still no Valuation!!!0 -
Back in 2010, I had a mortgage application with Santander through a broker. Exactly the same things were happening, (although I did have a KFI). Santander kept requesting more and more paperwork on a weekly basis. The flat I was buying ended up being put back on the market as it was taking so long to get a valuation done.
Eventually, I ended up shouting at my broker, told him he had 2 days to find me another mortgage or I walk to a different broker and he loses his commision.
2 days later I had a mortgage with Natwest and bought the flat.
I wouldn't try to get another Santander mortgage ever0
