I've just purchased Titanfall for the Xbox 360 and my old headset that came with the console (as most of you will know) is pretty useless!
I'm going to buy a new headset this weekend but i don't want to spend more than £40 which is the best headset in my price range?
I've been looking at the:
Turtle Beach Ear Force XL1
Tritton Trigger Headset
Turtle Beach X12

I personally use the XL1's, decent headset & can be got for £23 from Game right now, massive cable length on them and the sound's not too bad, only letdown being that they're not surround sound. (for that price I'm not complaining too much about that)Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

Dont waste your money if in game chat is as bugged on 360 as it is on Xbone you will find there is no in game chat. Plus if you are going to upgrade soon to Xbone you would need to buy a new headset again as the old ones are not compatible.0

In game chat will always be hit and miss unless your in a party of players..
Many people use headsets so that can play games late at night without waking the rest of the house up..
The statement about headsets being incompatible is out of date too.. As there is now the official adaptor which allows standard headsets to be plugged in. Ive had this for over a month now and it works great:

To be honest, as others have suggested, it'd be better to spend the extra money and buy a proper gaming headset. May not sound like very good money saving but if you spend the money on a decent one now, it'll last you years and as long as it has something like an optical port/lead, then it'll be compatible with pretty much everything.0

I had the Turtle Beach 12's for a while and they were great for the money. There are 10 types of people who understand binary, those that do and those that don't !0

I'd say Turtle Beaches too. I had a set of them a while ago before I got rid of my 360 and they were great. Sound wasn't amazing, but definitely serviceable.0

I would save and get the Tritton Warhead.

I've had these since December and they are amazing. Probably the one of if not the best headset for the 360.
They are wireless and have two rechargeable batteries that last around 8 hours each. The sound on them is amazing - also good for watching netflix etc.11K Challenge
