Boost your income by selling £10 for £10.50. See valued opinions for details.

So yet another survey site is clearly struggling for cash.

Just spent the usual half a lifetime trying to reach the £10 cashout threshold for Valued Opinions only to discover that it appears a £10 voucher now costs £10.50.

What's that all about eh?

Are times really so hard that they need to milk just a little bit more out of the people they rely on to make them rich?

My apologies KatyKicker. I even done a search before I posted and didn't spot anything. Late night posting does not serve me well.

Worth posting here too to express irritation and low-level disgust!

    Really, really, annoyed with VO.

They have just started charging for the privilege of claiming the reward you have more than paid for - every time I qualify for a £10 reward they are now charging 50p to redeem it.

There's massive protest on their Facebook page about this. I think Martin Lewis and his readers should be made aware!

    Have written to VO thus:

"What do you need to know about me? Deeply NOT IMPRESSED with being stung for 50p every time I redeem a voucher. Wow, you really value us, don''t you? These are YOUR overheads and marginal costs - if you want our opinions so badly, pay up with good grace or recoup the money from your "partners" who need the information we provide. There really is nothing like biting the hand that feeds you, is there! As others had pointed out, how would you feel if you went to work to discover your employer was docking 5% of your pay to meet the overheads of administering the payroll department? This simply isn''t on and I see from your Facebook page you''re getting massive protests and negative feedback! Also going to post this on other boards and social media...."

I have just made the £10.00 and got my voucher.

Lets make it clear it has taken me about a year or more to get to the £10.00 and they have put the withdrawal up to £10.50 thank goodness I got it at £10.00 because I would have lost the will to live if I had to get another 50 pence.

I also do the Inbox Pounds survey's and have not yet reached the £20.00 withdrawal, I am at £13.17 but every time I get a survey it says not suitable so may take another 1 - 2 years to claim that one unless someone has any ideas.

I agree that it takes ages to build the amount needed to redeem but it seems to be the nature of the beast.

I am a member of many sites and they all take forever and a day to get to the redemption amount and then often take forever to pay out after the funds are requested.

Just reached the £40 on Onepoll and I expect to be waiting months for my payment, but having said that it does always come and at £40 it's worth waiting for.

I guess the English are just a soft touch and that's why they get away with what they do. Not wanting to give these sites ideas but if VO would have changed cash amounts to points and allowed us to redeem £10 for X amount of points this would have gone unnoticed.

Luckily I do surveys to give my opinions rather than the fact that I desperately need the money, (although I wouldn't do them for nothing), but I know there are people who need this extra money and these are the people who will get hurt the most by this.

Be interesting to see one of these sites disappear due to members leaving them and signing up to others but I can't see it ever happening.
