Bank Of Scotland; payment shambles.

Who'd have Adam and Eve'd it?
I'm currently in the repayment process of paying back my loan via the collection services of the Bank Of Scotland, however in February of this year I phoned up to make my monthly payment, which I did.
Early March I received what I can only describe as a laughable threat from them stating I had not paid the amount (I have my bank statement prove it). So I phoned them up being a bank it has to be a 0845 number doesn't it? They have a log of my call and the agent said they had found my payment.
Let us fast forward a week, I get another letter stating I didn't make Februarys payment. So I go through the process again and it turns up in February they paid my money into someone else's account, and then the call agent says 'Have £40 compensation, we don't really know what to do'...... They started a months investigation and are basically trying to lay the blame with me. Still.
Is this worth a Financial Ombudsman Service
