I am now thinking maybe there is punctuation missing, what about good, looking out people?

Or it's a society as it's all capital letters GLOP for short.

The caps is a bad habbit :rotfl: but nope.. No , after the good. It remains

    Good looking out people.

    Good looking out people.

Should there be a common after the out? :rotfl:

I assume you meant to say comma?!

But nope. If I was to say it in person it would be a straight sentence without any separation.

Ah I see, we are "good looking out people," rather than being addressed by you (as in "[That is] good looking out, people"... i.e. using 'people' to mean 'everyone').

    Understood now ;)

No the second part was right. If it needs a comma my english is just bad lol. I'm saying well done to the people who are looking out and catching all the fake rats who run these webpages. I know you don't appreciate the detective work like I do, as you mentioned in my other thread.

Can I just say how pleased I am to see you engaging in a debate about the correct use of punctuation. Well done to you both.

I feel I can not really take any credit for detective work in this case more a gut feel that the pages did not look "ok".

Just to say I won a FB comp with Social Discount Network a few weeks back - they post so many it's hard to keep track and I was rather dubious myself, but I saw my name as winner under the comp post and I PMd them. After a couple of days I got a lovely reply - plus, although the prize up for grabs was £50 to spend on their site, they ended up offering me the choice of £50 cash or £75 to spend on their site! I opted for the cash and they paid it into my Paypal account within a few days. :T

    HTH :)

Confused. Having read the above comments I assume this is a legitimate page, so why aren't the competitions being posted on the regular competition page. Are they somewhere special - if so where, if not could I post them?
    Thankyou
  • SDN don't announce winners for all of their competitions and sometimes they don't always tag winners names properly. So don't forget to look on the thread if you have entered any.
If I cared what everyone else thought, I'd be just like everyone else, and there's already too many of them. :A

Bumping an old post here as I thought I'd search up the Social Discount Network fb page to see if anyone had issues with their competitions.

I just had a comment (and resulting conversation) querying their winners announcement deleted from this post - https://www.facebook.com/social.discount.network/posts/870815862955482 ..

Two of the names (I won't post them on here, one for £250 spend & one for £100 spend, I only checked those as they were the bigger prizes in comparison) didn't like & share the Facebook competition they apparently won, did a quick fb search to see if their names exist & nothing came up for them either!
So, basically they seem to want to give away some prizes, usually items they sell on their site, but they are also throwing in a few false winners by the looks of it too especially with the like & share competitions!!
    Just a FYI :)
Thanks to all who post comps! :A
