Default from overdraft

Hi All, Im hoping someone can help me.
My brother has a disasterous credit report that I have been trying for a few months to help him sort out. Just received a copy of the Equifax report and its worse than I thought.
So he has a credit card and overdraft with Ulster Bank (part of the RBS Group) that both are now showing as a default. The credit card was cleared back in February this year but still showing as Defalted (presume this is just a call to the bank to update).
My concern is the Current Account - it is showing as a default back in February 2013 but he did not receive any letters to advise of this. Will ask him to ring the bank tomorrow to confirm but I think its possible they have him registered at a previous address.
Does anyone know of any way I can ask them to remove this? Clearing the balance is no issue but its just the Default will still show.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, a default will remain on the credit file for 6 years from the day of default. The only way they will be removed is if they have been placed in error. If your brother did default on cc and current account it's unlikely they will get removed.Christmas 2020 £109
