I know I can't wait for them to drop down either further

Are your credit cards 0%, mine aren't they are killer with their interest, if yours aren't on 0% have you done the snowball calc? Where you put all your debt info in and the APR and the calculator tells you which card to overpay on first?

Hi
Currently all of our 0% deals are used. But I have a couple on low life of balance so keep chipping away. If any deals do come up I will look into shifting cards around.
How weird this morning though. I do on line surveys and this morning one came through all debt and my finances etc lol
Maybe the person doing it has been reading about me on here :rotfl:
I have done a calculator on the snowball but had made payments before I did it so the balances are different to what I first thought
Please don't let them be more than I thought  I will check all correct balances today and do a new snowball.0 -
Well just checked CC balances and its a little more than I first thought an extra £131.
Have done a new snowball and I will be CC free in 38 payments. I say payments as it sounds better than months. :j
I have copied and pasted my snowball into my email so I can check it on my phone as and when needed. Keeping me motivated.
So far this morning I have washing out,dog walked and fed, popped to the shop. Even resisted the urge to buy cigarettes. Have a few left and will not be buying any more. Have patches that I bought a while ago and never used them.
I intend to transfer the money daily in to my on line savings account and pay this weekly or monthly onto the CC with the highest APR. Tackling one at a time.
Now to tackle housework. My OH is going to think I have been abducted by aliens at this rate. Organisation is now my middle name.

Hi, well done for making your decision to tackle the debt, that's a huge step forwards. If you do a SoA (Statement of Affairs), the clever folk on here can help you identify potential savings areas. Someone will be along soon with the linky to the SoA.
Tell your DS that if he's cheeky even the McSkinties will be dropped, lol.
Lidl and Aldi are fast becoming the supermarket of choice for the squeezed middle classes, and their biscuits are just as good as brand names.
My DH and I are on giff gaff and get free text and calls to each other (and anyone else on giff gaff). The downside of that is that he calls me about trivia, ha. At £12 a month we get unlimited downloads, unlimited texts, and 250 minutes of calls. The only way I can use that amount of call minutes is to ring my mum towards the end of the month and let her witter for an hour. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
LOL satchmo1
My phone contract is nearly up so will definitely be looking at some good sim only deals. I will check out giff gaff Thanks for the tip.
As for the Mcskinties biscuits it was Lidl that I bought them from. Couldn't believe the difference in prices. Will definitely be buying from there again.
He will soon eat them if he wants them.0 -
Morning all
Pay day today I was rich for about 10 minutes.
Overtime money came in so a little extra for overpayments.
All direct debits paid now waiting for CC payments to show up. One paid the other day and one CC card payment made this morning.
Even managed to squirrel away 2 days no cigarette money. Still feeling positive especially crossing out totals on cards and putting new totals in.
Under the £26,000 so its a start I suppose.
Also paid mobile phone bill and due an upgrade today. Will haggle for a decent sim only deal or I will cancel and look elsewhere.
Have a good debt busting day all.0 -
Just been on to my mobile phone provider as I am due for upgrade today. Current bill £38 per month. A bit of haggling and quoting current deal offers from other providers Managed to switch to SIM only deal, same minutes, text etc £13.00 per month.
Very Pleased.0 -
Evening all. hope everyone is staying positive with the debt busting.
I have been constantly thinking about my finances and how my LBM suddenly made me wake up. So glad it did
Another payment made today, feels good that another total drops a little lower. :T
After changing my expensive monthly phone contract to SIM only @£13.00 per month and saving me a massive £25.00 per month. I then thought I would log in my O2 account to check all is ok with the new contract etc. I then discover my bill is already £25.00 in credit due to me paying a little extra here and there.
So my new phone bill for the next two months will be £1.00. :j
That extra money will most definitely be going towards a CC.
Hope everything carries on going smoothly. (fingers crossed)0 -
Just a quick update
Managed another CC payment today. keeping positive and enjoying changing CC balance. Seeing them go down instead of up.
Might have a go at paying odd pence etc off of cards to keep them at round figures. (every little helps) Not sure if CCs will like this or even allow me to do it.
Going to try and see what happens.0
