DD1 phoned and seems I have given her and Teeny my lurgy.
Teeny has had to have some calpol for the first time ever as her temperature is a little bit high.
Feel an awful nanny now.
They have to catch bugs when they are young to help their immunity, and they generally are not so bad at that age. The only way you could avoid it would be to never see Teeny and then you would be an awful nannyWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Elsie this brings back memories for me, keep an eye on your mum, just in case it's not the meds. Don't know if you remember but mine had an awful UTI that made her talk a load of nonsense and it made her mobility 10 times worse than is already was. It was a quite a while before she really took a downhill turn and she recovered from it well.
One thing that helped my mum was having a commode to be wheeled to little room, she was horrified about having one but when she could no longer put one foot in front of the other it was a Godsend. I just explained she didn't have to use it but there came a day when she did.
It is so sad to see them losing their independence, I have so much empathy for you, trying to juggle everything while caring for your mum. Keep strong hun. Hugs to you. xx
Last time my Mum had UTI she said that she had a whole family in bed with her including 5 babies of which 3 were triplets. She knew where they lived and their names. It took us days to convince her that it was because she was ill.0 -

There were loads of bikinis and other holiday type wear reduced in one of my Extras today. I don't do bikinis and the like so didn't pay that much attention, but they were all about half price...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
