Hoping to detour past Next tomorrow for those in need.

I posted about this a few weeks back and discovered that Next open a credit account for you when using this.....whether you like it or not! I can't remember who alerted me to it? You can't just buy online and get the discount....so please be aware of this, anyone that does it. It also involves a credit check for those that it's important to.

a la buying from very! if I remember correctly? Do Next still charge for the Next directory? Probably best check that out too?

    I like this:

    What are the restrictions?

15....some promotions are excluded because they do not allow fair comparisons to be made. For example:

o Linksave (e.g. meal deals or “buy cheese and get the crackers free”), category-wide (e.g. “buy 6 bottles of wine and get 5% off”), and multiple offers on the same range (e.g. “buy 2 for £3 or buy 5 for £6”) are excluded because they do not allow fair comparisons to be made irrespective of which retailer is running the promotion.

Buy Whiskas and get the Whiskas cat bowl free:rotfl:. The promotion is excluded and the bowl has to compare from full price:T.

Has anyone come across any good deals on a desktop style computer that would be suitable for gaming please?

Ours is XP and apparently no longer supported but also graphics card isn't brilliant.

    Many thanks

I got a high spec one at Christmas from here

    https://www.bargaincrazy.com

It's the site squills used to go on about. Mine was advertised as 'refurbished' but arrived totally covered in plastic and to all intents and purposes brand new. It's been absolutely fine and an absolute bargain compared to current prices. Check daily, the stock changes really quickly

    Squills

You're much better sticking with the one you've got & buying upgrades (Graphics card, Processor, coolers etc) it sounds a like hardwork, I've never done it myself my desktops mainly redundant, but there are tons of how to videos kicking about & most parts can be found on eBay @ good prices. My brother just graduated from uni & he's told me to never by a new desktop just cannibalise my current one with new parts
If only batman was here, he'd soon get you told
