I survived today. Hated certain bit though. Firstly on arrival we were given tea coffee, cake and biscuits. Once that was over we had to speak to a camera about why we want to work for virgin trains and were given 60 seconds for this. Although, my mind went blank as soon as the camera started rolling.

Next was chatting to staff members and other candidates and getting to know the staff more.

Once this was over we had speed interviewing where staff and candidates pass by the even numbers so we all get to talk. I could not understand the scoring for this though as the pictures seemed to be random. Then that was it all 30 of us were out the door and will hear in 2 weeks. Not too bad though as people who do not get the job will be added to the list for future jobs. So here's hoping. :)

    Fingers crossed.

Do you know how many of you will get a job ? :)

Anyone know if there's any Tesco in North Wales having the new scanners that you can take around with your trolley please?

    Coed means wood in Welsh.

  • re: frubes

Someone mentioned freezing them, can't remember who

I also saw it on netmums yesterday as a lunchbox idea to keep food cool til lunch :D
Frubes not only keep longer if you freeze them but little chick loves eating them frozen, we originally found frozen jelly's somewhere but couldn't find them anywhere so we substituted them with frozen frubes & now can't get her to stop eating them. Definitely worth a try

Oooh thank you David you lovely young man :):):) You must have read my mind as I was going to ask if anyone knew of any deals with washing machines. Our bloody machine has started leaking again. We've had it fixed twice recently but it still likes to have a good old wee when it starts to drain. I can't believe we spent £125 on getting it "fixed"! I was hoping to get one at Tosco today at it's supposed Black Thursday but they didn't have many electricals on offer. Doh. Thanks again!

Lovely young man :D are you ? Any reason why you ve chosen a donkey for your latest avatar :D

There's some positive news then TS re: bone healing.

    :)

Wish her a speedy recovery and hopefully she'll be trampolining in the near future.

    :)

    Thanks I will Karlie.

Yes it is a relief everytime we go that they decide not to do a bone graft, I don't really want her to go through that. She is scarred for life as it is. Not nice for a young lady. :(

I can't believe how long it is taking but hopefully slowly but surely. One bone has healed ok the one on the inside but nasty raised red scar. The one on the outer side where scar has faded is the issue I can never remember which is the radius or the ulna. The doctor said it is certainly not a non-union the ends of the bone are not blunt I think he said?

She was not the high flyer of my two that competed but she enjoyed the social side too so now has a big gap in her life.
