I don't know where gatwick T's is :rotfl:
My DP occasionally works from his crawley office (opposite the A's) and he has to drop his hire car back to gatwick enterprise.
So I know the m25. I know how to get to the airport and I know how to get to Crawley A's and that is it! Lol!0 -

I'm leaving it today.
I don't even have a cat :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Here's a strange story about whole nut.
My mum and I went shopping every Monday and would buy my dad his favourite chocolate bar which was galaxy.
When my DF had cancer and not long to live my DH would buy him the miniature whisky bottles so he could sip a little at a time. When he passed away I put a miniature whisky and galaxy in his coffin.
I said to my mum one day before the funeral that I had had a strange dream that my dad was laughing and thanked me for the whiskey and chocolate but said that galaxy had never been his favourite choc. We just had a laugh about this as when he was suffering with the pain of cancer I would play tricks on him to lift his spirits a little bit. So, he was having the last laugh at my expense.:rotfl:
When I was next down at my mums a few days later she said my uncle Alex had visited and said that my dad had asked him to bring a bar of whole nut each time he came to see him and not to tell DM or me!!!:eek: (he visited every 2 weeks during his illness )
So, I took the galaxy out the coffin and put a bar of whole nut in its place:rotfl::rotfl:
What a lovely story thanks for sharing, brought a tear to my eye and a smile xOh rhosynbach, I'm like you always wanting things fair, it's not nice feeling left out.
I think the idea of buying one yourself is a good one, hopefully you mum will realise after you mentioning it as well that it's not a good idea to leave him out. The age gap between your DS and oldest great grandchild is nothing and of course he will notice.
Hope your OH is recovering well from the nasty accident. xxOh heck...have forgotton to pick up number 2 child...bad mother...be back soon!
thanks for your lovely comment tiger xx0 -
Savvybuyer wrote: »Well, bladdy glad I bought 9 different items on that shop (after a 'secret' trigger subtracted):T:rotfl:. I hope it's a no-show for the loose broccoli - M have 'always'(?)!? been much more expensive than A on that - I suspect £2.28/kg or even £2.90 odd/kg at M:eek:? They might be down to A's price or a little lower, but I'd edge my bets not! Fingers crossed for a no-show!:)
Just gone back and calculated my price based on M being 38p on my comp. £2.28 per kg for my 165g (shows as 170g) is... 38p!:j Notice that my post has not been edited:D. I don't know how I thought £2.28/kg as I didn't consciously look at the loose broccoli in M or its price. I must have a good memory:D:rotfl::whistle:.
For those doing cat shops, don't be confused about the reference to '9 items' - I was shopping for other things in A. The cat food and bowl is in T, where different rules apply;).0 -

Stick to two - it's no problem. Get your 2 with fillers, pay £7, get PP for about £7. Go back, get another 2 and fillers, pay with £7 PP, get another £7 PP. And again. And again.
Fillers = 10p sweets (Haribo small bags etc.), smallest loose veg you can find, a single onion, one sprout etc. The top that got snapped off a parsnip (hopefully costs a penny). A tiny piece of root ginger. Not kiosk items though as I don't think they count?
At least 10 different items.
I think the PPs stopped scanning on the day of issue a while ago - now have to wait until the following day (or a willing operator)?

24 People Interview For The World's Hardest Job. They Never Expected This...
So powerful. You have to watch this at least once.
This is the world's hardest job. 24-7 and no breaks. The candidates are in shock.
"Is that legal?"
"That's inhumane.."
And that's not the most shocking part. Watch the full video below!

Yes sorry, you're right. Although could go back today if got some from yesterday etc. (Face it - they can be used in future against other shops that you'd be doing anyway, as they're effectively giving your money back.) Perhaps don't get too small a piece of ginger (or whatever) on your shop if using self-service tills - last time mine was below the lowest weight that those machines will even take, so it gave a message and SA tried and tried to get it to take the product and it wouldn't*. I had to cancel the whole transaction and move to a staffed till. It's just the kafuffle and the (unwished-for) drawing attention.
I don't think even 'willing operator' suffices - the PP won't scan until the day after it's been issued:(.
(*I don't know how SFSB manages to get every item to be a penny - perhaps he can advise you!)0
