I had great expectations of a large Victoria Sponge following the comments on here. As a result it took me ages finding it as I was looking for a large cake :o. The large is normal size (2 eggs, 4 oz flour, 4 oz margarine) size and the one that appears on MSM and A is tiddly ...or am I missing something?

    Many thanks

I was the same. Their idea of large, and mine are very different. Some of the ladies on here (who I shall not name ;) ) thought it was a huge victoria sponge, until I put them right on their size perceptions ;)

I suppose after years of men claiming "that" is six inches, it is not surprising that size perceptions have been affected ... :rotfl:
