I didn't think this one through carefully enough and ended up with an APG for £16.28 against T's - a bit bigger than expected. also I used 2 x £1 Shape coupons and the multibuy idn't come off the chapati - so another £1.20 refund plus a £2 gift card. I used 2 APGs ( around £14 between them)and paid the £5 balance with a gift card. The £1.20 refund plus £2 card reduced that £5 to £1.80 (they put the refund etc back on the same gift card) and I've got a new APG for about £2 more than the ones I used today. So my shopping seems to have cost me - 20p ! I will choose my CA with care when I use the new APG.

    Anyone in Asda?
I've just realised in the 2 for £6 cheese NO Asda varieties are showing on Asda or MSM.
The last time this happened we were getting cheese for little money -

The anchor mature is £4.50A compared to £2.50 Tesco. XXXXX
Seriously strong Extra mature£4 against £2.24 Morries
    Anchor extra mature £4.50 A against £2.37 T
    Cathedral city mild £4A against £3 T
Wyke farms mature & extra Mature £4 against £3.50 Sains

Prices NOT quite as good as last time (if I remember correctly the Seriously strong last time was £4.93 vs £2ish) - making for virtually half price cheese.

The anchor Ex Mat one with an Asda one vs Tesco should make 2 lots of cheese 800gm (Asda ones tend to be 450gm) £3.63 or around £4.54kg.

Anyone in Asda that can confirm the Asda cheeses are in the 2 for £6?
    PLEASE!
I think I need to get down Asda as we're on our last 1" of cheese!

ANCHOR MATURE is £4.50 against £2.25 so this is best bet at moment. (we like STRONG cheese so the grated isn't so good for us) This will work out giving APG of £2.47 so 800gm for £3.53 or £4.41kg

We are many we are one xxx

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

Sadly I am no longer a great gran in waiting. My granddaughter lost her baby yesterday - it was an unplanned pregnancy and an early miscarriage but it's still very sad for everyone. She is very young to have to cope with this. Its hard to find the right words to say to her even though I do know what she must feel as I've been in the same situation myself.

Sorry for your granddaughter. My daughter lost hers last year at 7 weeks and it's only a year later that she is dealing with the grief.
  • If you're buying the grated cheese DON'T buy the Cheddar & mozzarella (green pack), there was no mozzarella in my A so I just picked up a variety we'll use anyway. Showed as N/A on comparison.

Pies worked, Mr Pixie will be pleased!
