Living With Depression

Hi
Back in 2012 I had a serious bout of depression following the death of my darling Dad in 2010. I was very ill as I became suicidal and was off work for 6 months.
Thankfully due to CBT which unlocked and sorted out many childhood issues I am nearly 100% sane again
Life has been pretty good but I am starting to slip again.
My DH has been off work with chronic asthma and he is not getting any better. He has had a chest x-ray to see if they can find out why his lungs are not recovering.
I am worrying about him which is sending my stress levels sky high!
So, why have I started this thread?
Well back in 2012 when I was at the beginning of my illness, I found massive comfort and encouragement in
Fairyclick's '10 Positive Steps A Day' diary.
I know I will always live with Depression and so by having this diary, there is a safehaven for people to pop on and share where they are at and know that there are like minded people who understand where they are coming from.

"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."

From a fellow depression sufferer I wish you luck on your journey and hope your DH soon finds relief from his asthma. I also suffer from asthma although mine is seasonal and is caused by pollen.Never Knowingly Understood.
