I'm discharged bankrupt and want a current account

I've recently been discharged from bankruptcy and it is a huge relief to finally be debt free. The biggest issue I have had with my bankruptcy is my Natwest basic bank account only allows me to withdraw from Natwest ATMs (none anywhere near me), post offices or obtaining cashback. When at work I have no option but to get cashback from shops to obtain money. This is a huge inconvenience as I am left buying items I don't want just to get cashback & if I'm in a place where cashback is not available I have nowhere to obtain money. Does anybody know any banks that will accept recently discharged bankrupts for a current account. I don't want chequebook, overdraft or any credit facilities I just want an account that allows me to use all ATMs with direct debit facility.

Try Barclays?
And well done on being a discharged BR0 -
Barclays and the co-op (now you are AD) should open basic accounts for you but I would not apply online - make an appointment at a convenient branch and go in to see them and explain the circumstances. Most BR's (but not every single one) find the these 2 banks are BR tolerant.0

Same with me with the Nat West basic account - it's annoying, although it works in Tesco ATMs too.
I have a Co op Cashminder too and that works everywhere.0
