Help to buy (Halifax)

Hi
Have a meeting on Tuesday with the mortgage advisor at Halifax to discuss a help to buy mortgage (probably mortgage guarantee) I have a clean credit history, no defaults, late payments etc. I have a deposit of £9k (could get this to £9.5k at a push in 2 weeks) my basic salary is £36k gross, my P60 will be at £42k gross including overtime earned, and then I have £7k additional annual income (net after tax).
I have a car loan of £8k interest free and an unsecured loan currently £4k (interest front loaded) with 4 years left to run.
I have recently viewed a property on the market at £190k (open to offers) and would look to offer £180k.
Any thoughts on whether I'm likely to be approved for this level of mortgage? I've looked at what the repayment would cost at a 2 year fixed rate over 20 years, and am happy I could afford it, but not sure if they would loan me £175k.

Our Halifax aip said we could borrow up to £187,000 (did not go anywhere near that to buy though)
That's on joint salarys totaling £41,000 and £6000 loan.
So it sounds loads possible yes, just have to see what they say.0 -
