1st Credit gone...Apex wants Cash

Help...first post and advice much needed.. So Lloyds Credit Card taken out in 2002 when I had a good job (got £9000 in debt on one card - stands currently at £5500) in 2007 I lost job and made minimum payments sometimes just below the minimum 3% anyhow they decide to hit default in 2010 and sold debt to a company called Prime Credit SARL and appointed 1st Credit to collect money. I have been paying them £50 per month
Four years on after making continuous small payments regularly I get a letter from a company called Apex telling me 1st credit have gone to the wall and I need to talk them.
So anyone had a similar letter, I’ve had no letter from 1st credit or Prime Credit SARL and wonder if previous payments to 1st have been hitting my Prime Credit SARL account. Does anyone have UK contact details for this company called Prime Credit SARL ?

HI
I'd send start by sending Apex the prove it letter Letter when you know nothing about about the debt - AKA "Prove it" letter to prove you owe the money and prove they have a right to collect this debt.
Then depending on what they come back with I would then write to ask them for a full breakdown of the alleged debt showing all payments made.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Gone to the wall? 1st Credit are still trading as far as I know.Still rolling rolling rolling......

1st credit also collect my lloyds cc debt, apex are another debt collection company, i would just say you are not paying them until they prove they own the debt chances are as the card is so old they wont be able to produce the correct documents..i.e a signed agreement therefore they cant take you to court so you wont need to pay themgoal for 2014....i will manage money better ..must resist shopping..............:A0

I would send 1st crudit a CCA request, I bet they wont be able to come up with the correct paperwork, not from 2002, may be an unenforceable agreement possibly ? on a personal level I wouldn't pay those maggots a penny, not after the way they hounded me a few years back, just saying !!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. As per the previous 2 posts.
I wouldn't be paying anything to anyone until an enforceable CCA is in your hands.:beer:0
