Easter 2014

Options
Hi guys

My son has requested an easter egg hunt for easter
Hes 9 years old so I am thinking clues would be better for him but my daughter 3 I am thinking I will draw a few picture clues for her and that she can use them to find them......

I know my 13 year old step son would rather I just dumped them in his lap.
I just wondered what everyone else is doing for Easter.....

:rotfl: That made me laugh, because last year for the 1st time, my then 13yo son requested that his Easter eggs were just left in the fridge instead of having to be hunted for. I [STRIKE]sulked about it[/STRIKE] asked him to re-consider, but he refused.

We had just had a new kitchen put in, it was finished on Good Friday last year, and we'd gone back to having a fridge/freezer in the kitchen. Our old freezer that was in the utility area of our conservatory, we'd now swapped over for a 2nd fridge in there instead (from the old kitchen), so on Easter Sunday, I told son that we had put the Easter Eggs in the friedge, but his mission was to find where our 2nd fridge now was.:D He didn't find it as amusing as I did ;) but asked his younger sister, to hunt it out. She couldn't find it. yep, I can hide a fridge in my house!!

I think this year they will get less chocolate though, as relatives have put some money in cards for them, so it may be the first one without any sort of hunt.

I have an egg for my nephew, but am struggling with my niece as she isn't keen on choc or sweets, and prefers crisps or mints. Previously I've bought a mint area egg, but haven't seen any this year. For my own kids, I got an egg when they were very cheap weeks ago, but am thinking for the eldest one, to get him a fishing licence as well.

Check out pintrest they have great easter ideas. Sprinkle jelly beans in a pot or on lawn the night before and then place lollipops in although my dd doesn't really like lollies. I like the idea of easter trees as you can make decorations. I'm tempted to just use the twigs with lights I have already! ! My dd is 9 and I intend to hide clues and a mini egg in one of those plastic eggs to get to the egg at the end. Net mums sent out some clues to use recently as my poetry is poor.

    Thanks Mojo
I have some little plastic eggs to hide but they aren't openable.....but I think I might hide them and a few eggs and then when they bring them back to me they can get the next clue.
I also have some little eggs and chocolate discs to hide with them.
The little mini eggs I might put 2/3 with each plastic egg, and then the mini discs I will hide separately around the room.

They aren't getting a big egg as their gift, my son wanted a game and Holly wanted a dress up set - I found a proper ballerina leotard with tutu for £2 on the market so they are their main gifts.
