Nationwide soft-search loan - can you tell if you'll be accepted?

Options
Hi all,

Just did the soft search with Nationwide for a 5k loan over 4 years, and got 9.9%. Has anybody had any experience with the soft search? I don't want to go ahead and make a full application if I'll be rejected, so if anybody has got a quote and then gone through with their application, any advice would be gratefully received. I know no-one can tell for sure, but I'd like to be able to rate my chances a little more clearly!
Cheers

Its been suggested on here if the APR is over 21% then you'll probably be declined.

I think aside from that people have mostly reported it to be pretty accurate and the final offer they were given was the same as the quote.

Sorry to hijack post, I've just done a quote for a balance transfer card and it's quoted 2500 limit with a 17.9% apr, does this sound like it could be a yes?
    Capital One £180/200 Barclaycard 3,050/3,300
    Vanquis 2,890/3,000  Aqua 1,280/1,350, LloydsTSB overdraft 2990/3,000 = £10,390

I just got the same as you when applying for the purchases card. Considering their standard APR is 17.9% and they've offered you a reasonable limit, I'd say you'll be fine.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
