I am moving house soon, and need boxes other than Tesco and Asda (who won't give them out) does anyone know where I can gather some.
I live in Belfast (East) but would drive anywhere in Belfast.

Seems harder to get Boxes now a day as they have a value.
I'm lucky that I could gather some up from my work when we moved but not always the case.... you sort of resent having to buy them !!0 -
You can get boxes for free from a business in Belfast City Centre, but as I am new I cannot post a direct link.
Anyway, if you do a search on Belfast Gumtree, and paste the item number into the search box you should find the advert. They are near the Europa Hotel and they flat pack the boxes to make it easier for collection. The item number is 1054221435.
They post this ad quite regularly so must have quite a few boxes to get rid of.
If the above item number doesn't help, type "boxes moving house" into the same search box on Belfast Gumtree and you should see the ad - it has a picture of a building on it.
Hope this helps!0 -
Thanks so much Mrs Saver, I shall head over to Gumtree now!0

I'm surprised that Tesco didn't give you any boxes. I was looking for boxes a while back and went into Tesco, and asked at the customer services desk and was told if I came in at about 10pm that would be the best time (24hr Tesco).
I went to Costcutter and got some boxes there. I got a load from Supervalu, and in the end up, I didn't need to go back to Tesco at night. I did get some from Tesco Express, I just asked and they kept them past for me. Another place is Halfords.0 -
Didn't think about Halfords, thanks for that!0

try Lidl, should have no bother getting a few boxes there0

the local shops might give you boxes but try storagecentreni if you need to buy them the owner is helpful and sells rental units as well as boxes. Ebay will also sell boxes.0

McDonalds. Their fry boxes are ideal and strong. They use a cardboard recycling bin too so they're clean0
