I have made cakes etc. for years but now the family have flown the nest I find cakes tend to go stale as it takes longer to eat them. I have thought of using my usual recipes and baking them in a loaf tin as they may stay fresher for longer. My only problem is that I have no idea of what size loaf tin to use for say an 8" round cake tin recipe.
Could any one help please?

I always use a 2lb loaf tin whenever I'm using recipes that usually require an 8 inch round cake tin. HTH!0
