This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Good morning everyone
Only a short week but am still glad it's Friday and the start of another long weekend.
Butterfly Brain - what an absolutely beautiful baby, she looks so peaceful and content.
NPM - wow Noah was a whopper! My DD was 9lb 13 1/2oz and I always say that is part of the reason why she was an only child! She is very tall now but my GDD was only a tiddler when she was born and I think she is going to be as tall or even taller than her mum.
Better get a move on but will try and catch up later.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning everyone
Hope JackieO and Molly are recovering steadily x
Hugs to those that want/need them.
Now light, dry underfoot, cloudy and overcast. Washing to go out on the line in a mo.
DH up and gone to work early but not stupid early. He’s improving daily.
Dinner last night was a change to what I’d planned as once DH got in from work we needed to go out together to do a little job, and we didn’t know how long that would take. When I went to collect my car after its service and MOT (which all passed with flying colours to my relief!) I stopped off at SM and purchased 2 x fresh pizzas, some breaded chicken fillets, and some pasta salad. I had a bag of frozen chips in the freezer. So once DH and I got back from doing our little job I got the food cooking and we were eating by just after 7pm – so wasn’t eating too late.
Did get some of the jobs done yesterday – got majority of the washing, drying and ironing done, still a bit in the basket but not too bad. I haven’t packed for DH and myself but will do this later. I have to take DS1 over to next town first thing as he has his theory driving test. Whilst he’s doing that I will take DS2 to see if we can get him new trainers – his are too tight. Once I get back I’ll crack on with the normal jobs, bank, food shopping, then home to pack etc.
Mood was quite good yesterday – as just pottered from 1 job to the next and find that being occupied/busy helps so much.
Need to crack on.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
It's not raining (yet!). Yesterday turned out to be quite nice and managed to get the washing out and dried.
Butterfly Brain - What a cute baby, so new! Not so sure about the name but it could grow on me!
TTFTM - My first was the same weight!
Hope Molly and JackieO are ok and recovering.
Taking my car in again today, put the windows down on Wednesday and the passenger one decided to go down when I pressed up! The other one broke a few years ago so have to get a new mechanism - about £130. Just spent £240 getting the brakes fixed and then another £55 on a new tyre. Hope that's the 3 things now.
Made tomato soup yesterday which fed DD and I and the builders, DD taking leftovers to work today. Out to friends for dinner tonight, looking forward to that especially as I don't need to cook!
Bought myself a new memory foam mattress yesterday, I had got them for DD and DS2 and decided it was time to treat myself! Will change them over today and someone is coming to collect the old one from Freegle (not sure I could take a second hand mattress) tomorrow.
Hope you have a good day, Friday already - why does the week go even quicker when you're off? Take care. XX0 -
Morning all
Fish fed, hubby & I have had a cuppa, I'll do breakfast in a minute, it's been very noisy here with the work on the train line, but they've finished for the day now.
Hubby's working 9 'til 6 or 7 today & will probably go in on Saturday morning too, he wants to make sure everything is done before he goes on holiday. I'm half expecting the school to ask him to cancel, they often do.
I'm going round to help DD once I've dropped hubby at work, to see what she needs help with, I might try to get some sewing done this afternoon.
Hugs to Molly & JackieO, a quick wave to LW.
Have a good day everyone.

Camelot I must admit her name threw me too, some people have said it is from Breaking bad, but all I can think of is the baddie in Heroes  and he was a he
But that is what they have chosen.
Cloudy here at the moment, I hope it brightens up because I have the bedding to do today.
So apart from potting up some seedlings in the greenhouse, I have no other plans .
DH is on holiday from tonight :j
Next week we want to get out and about which I am looking forward to.
(((((Healing hugs))))) to Molly and JackieO xxxxxx

Morning everyone,
NPM Over 11lbs. Wow! My babies were little, my youngest was only 6lb 1oz and she was 3 days late!
Molly, JackieO Healing vibes xx
Hilstep Glad that you are having a calmer time at the moment.
LW Good morning!
Off to the supermarket this morning, hopefully won't spend too much.
Made my first frittata yesterday, it was lovely and I am not fond of eggs!
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Morning all,
What a gorgeous baby. My middle son was 9.13:eek: strangely the easiest birth of all of the four.
I'm cross this morning. Me and dh very very rarely fall out but he went out last night to a business meeting and came back very drunk. Very unusual for him. I have major issues with men and alcohol as my dad and my brothers all drink far too much. I'm probably over sensitive but he is definitely in the dog house until I calm down.
Have my DGS this morning as he finished for Easter yesterday and his mum is working today.
We shall probably do some baking this afternoon.

Morning all,
Healing hugs to JackieO and Molly.
Lovely baby BB.....my smallest baby was DS1 at 7.13 and biggest was DD4 at 9.12, although my brother took the prize at 13.2!
Lovely day here today, have been up since 8, which is very early for me these days, going to pot on some tomato plants and sow more seeds and maybe take dogs for a walk, depending on how well hips hold out?
Have a good day all

Hi everyone,
Well, after all this talk of babies I dreamt that I was giving birth last night - not something that is going to happen in real life thankfully.
I did my zips course last night and realised one of the things I've been doing that has stopped mine looking neat, so hopefully that will improve them in future. I made some pouches so I think I will do a slightly loner one and fill it with colouring pencils as an Easter gift for G-niece.
DH working from home today - I'm feeling a bit fragile but I want to make a cherry cake for DS' GF as she has had a bad week at work.
Apart from that there's not a lot else going on, so have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all,
all this talk of babies makes me broody (nearly). The babies I had with my first husband were smaller than my babies with my second husband. From 6lb babies with my ex, they shot up in size to 8lb.
Got up late this morning. The girls got me up twice in the night to use the bathroom (ok the garden:o). It took me ages to get back off to sleep the second time and then when I did I had a bad dream and woke up in a bit of a tizz.
'Youngest' is sitting an IT exam today. He complained as he was meant to break up from college yesterday and the extra day in college hasn't gone down very well (its a hard life being a student).
Hubby is stuck on an Asda roof somewhere at the back of beyond. He sent me a lovely picture of the roof this morning (pretty sh!te roof as roofs go but the view was nice:rotfl:). He's got a couple of weeks left on the job apparently and then he promises we will go away. We are like strangers at the moment...... passing ships an' all that. Ok I'm exaggerating slightly but you get the idea.
Thinking of the 'poorlies' amongst us. Hope your recovery is swift.
Pulled pork for tea tonight on crusty bread. I started cooking it this morning and it is beginning to smell rather nice.
Music up full blast. You cant beat a bit of Chrissy D to start off the day. Crissy D & Lady G – Girls Like Us
