New to comping.. am I doing enough?

Thought I'd give comping a go while my OH is at work (he works nights). It seems to keep my hands busy which keeps me away from the biscuit jar, so far so good!

Haven't been able to find much info in the forums on what the average amount of comps to enter each week is. At first I was comping by end date, but gave that up as couldn't keep up. All of those have finished and been moved to the game over forum now.

I've been comping by most popular for the past 5 days, and have 607 active comps entered that I could be bothered to count (only counted up to page 70 or so before giving up). Is this enough to win at least something (even if it's some washing up liquid) or do I need to up my game a bit?

Obviously not expecting to win anything immediately, but I see all these lovely posts on the IWIWIW! forum of people winning, and was just curious as to how much other people do

hi, am thinking you shouldn't just enter the 'most popular'
only if that's what you're doing

there are lots of great comps that are low entry & you stand just as much chance of winning them,
diff peeps have diff average amounts of the comps they enter & the time they have to enter so it varies for everyone,
there's quite a few threads on here regarding how many comps peeps enter a day & if yousearch ' how many comps ' it should bring the threads up,
don't forget there are the dailies/clickwins/weekly magazine posts etc that will up your
game & puzzler/tab monthlys etc
on average in answer to your question on most days I enter between roughly 100-200 a day which includes the dailys/clickwins etc

Wow that's a lot of comps! I'll have a little play around with the 'sort by' buttons and see what I come up with


Thanks for the link, no doubt it'll be very useful. There's just so many comps I don't know where to start most days!

hi, you're very welcome
each have their own way I think,

easiest way I find I do dailys/daily mags/ first, then move onto main board comps & follow through where I left my last
green tick (for entered) &/or
last red cross,
inbetween running the clickwins & others
