ACN SCAM or TRUE

There are many legitimate Multi level marketing businesses out there, kleeneze Avon Amway.
I'm a distributor for utility warehouse and have been for almost a year and absolutely very happy with it. I did my due diligence before I started. And have nearly 50 happy customers including myself.
As for ACN, a friend of mine put the £400 in and was then told most money is made only in recruiting. This to me sounds suspicious, so if recruiting stops then so does your income. Does part of that £400 go towards upline? He is trying to get his money back.
I don't have to recruit in my business, I can just gather customers at my own pace and earn residual every month.0 -
According to the DSA "In the UK it is illegal to charge more then £200 to join a mlm."
Therefore ACN shouldn't be operating in the UK.

That would be a pyramid scheme. If it requires endless recruiting + no real value product is provided to the customer it is classified as a pyramid scheme. If I'm not mistaken these schemes aren't illegal. Another example of a Pyramid scheme is enpower network.
"ACN is fully backed and endorsed by Donald Trump. This is the only company out with the Trump organisation that he endorses. The company has also been featured in two full episodes of Celebrity Apprentice in USA."
Just because it is endorse by Donald Trump, doesn't mean it is legal. Example the queen could endorse something illegal, it doesn't make it legal though. Also I'm sure ACN was featured on Penn and Teller bull***t Pyramid scheme episode.
"Happy to chat in more detail or send a webinar which is explains the business in more details."
So clearly you aren't trying to recruit anyone from this forum. #sarcasm0 -
Yes in the UK its illegal to charge more then £200 to join this sort of thing.
However they can get round it by charging extra after 7 days for say eg an enhanced distributor kit. Perhaps the extra £200 bought something similar.
I see they are the 22nd Biggest Direct Selling Company in the world.

yes 22nd with most the market in USA, different rules and regulations apply in UK. MLM in USA is huge business.
It would be interesting to see where they rank in the UK.
I have been in networking for a while, most MLM companies have their own products and or services. ACN is mereley an affiliate for Virgin Media and First Utility.
I asked a question to an ACN rep once.. 'what would you do if Virgin pulled their affiliate from them'?
His answer, was ' ACN own part of Virgin'. I thought to myself... Does Richard Branson know this???? :rotfl:0 -
i am an ex representative of ACN. I joined following a good friend. Soon learned it was so much worse than i could ever imagine. I come from an islamic background and so does my friend. So do all the people he knows who joined ACN. We watched the video and quickly were Thinking what they wanted us to. We joined, bought some products, got 'qualified', and soon i realised it was messed up. I went through all the ACN crap they give you. After being brainwashed for a while. So much hope was in ACN. I loved it, breathed it and believed it. But after a while i realised i can't recruit people so decided to make money in other ways. By getting customers. But quickly learnt i could only make a pennies every month. Something like £50 for ALOT of work trying to sell their competitive energy supplier. So i asked myself whats the point? I was angry about how deceptive the presentations are. How we arent told all this important info. We make money by recruiting and selling the recruits both ACN ideology and ACN products. It was not worth alienating all my respected friends and family for. It wasn't Islamic. So since around a month of writing this post. I have convinced some to leave ACN. And have made it my duty to convince many more to do the same. They make money off their own representatives. Through events, website costs(aka YBA), training fees, products as samples, and renewal fees. Heads up everyone. Be nice to those on it. Help them see the light. Be stubborn. They need more help than You think. Thanks for reading.0

I've just stumbled upon this thread and I hope this won't be seen as spam (can't post links as a new user), but I suggest reading over at acnpyramidscheme[dot]com
They have a bunch of useful info and stuff you normally don't hear about from ACN reps.
In my personal opinion, ACN is a very well disguised scam and pyramid scheme. Just read about it and inform yourself first, then make your own decision. That's my $0.02.0 -
Has anyone heard of acn or american communications network are they for real or is a big scam. They say you can make money from customers switching to different providers eg gas electric broadband provided you have paid £395 upfront fee for runnng the website.
It's not £395, it's £325 + VAT (£390 where VAT can be claimed back). If this business is illegal then it would not be able to operate in UK & other European countries and pay taxes to the government(s).
I am currently working for ACN and making a very healthy income, I also personally know more than 200 people who are making money by selling the services and products. There is a minority of people (who happen to be very lazy), who did not made good profits.
This is a Legal MLM business. If you want to know about any product ask the experts of that field (google doesn't differentiate between the people with genuine knowledge and guess makers).0 -

Dear gentleman, if you or somebody whom you know failed to make any profit in ACN then it reflects your own capabilities towards a business. Me and my other close friends joined ACN and none of us is making less than £7000 a month.
If you claim to be Islamic then Islam also forbids Lottery, this is not a lottery, this is a job where you are require to input your work.
Instead of acquiring other representatives, or even relying on residual income, if you just sell 2 Virgin media services you get £75, for every 2 Energy customers, you get £50. I know people who are acquiring up to 10 services a day. That's more than £500 per day.0 -

Both Virgin Media and First Utility are getting a large number of customers through ACN. I have official figures for Virgin Media where they spent over £300,000 on 105 different venues in London city in December 2014 and acquired 738 new customers while ACN gave Virgin Media over 800 customers for the same period in the same area. First Utility's more than 27% new customer acquisition is dependent on ACN.
Thus even if they pull out ACN is still bigger company than them and can secure new contracts (as it has other 169 blue chip partnerships).
I hope this answers your question.0
