Hi,
Has anyone got any ideas on how to make this special day (this sat) memorable especially for my parents as we are moving 200 miles away in a few weeks and its gonna be a massive wrench.
There will only be myself, my partner (his 27th b/day is a few days later), our son (2 1/2), our daughter (her 1st birthday), my parents (45th Wed anniv) and my mother in law on the day.

how about making a memory board. Get a large piece of cardboard and stick things to it that hold special memories for you all. Ie photos, postcards special dates, handprints. you can then give this to ur parents as a constant reminder of you all.0

What a fantastic idea, thank u.
Have managed to get kiddies hands and feet onto a plate with happy 45th anniversary on it, which they will love.
Think i will do the memory board for when we leave in a few weeks. Great idea. Thanks.0 -
just a few ideas if the weather is nice you could either have a bbq in the garden or even if the weather dosnt hold up you could have a little party indoors and if you have a camcorder you could record it and either give a copy to your parents or send it in the post to them in a few weeks time something to cheer them up a nice little surprise as like you said its goint to be a massive wrench being that far away
all the best i hope you really have fun what ever you choose to do0
