Good - well done for getting that done.

How do you get a tax forecast by the way?
    Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.62

    Hi Seaxwyn
    It's a pension forecast but I think it's because I'm ancient - have a look on govnmnt's pension site https://www.thepensionservice.gov.uk

    You have to be:
    • living in the UK
    • more than 30 days away from State Pension age
    • reaching State Pension age on or before 6th April 2010
I haven't done it yet because I've got to pay the last bill from the NI which they haven't actually sent out yet. In a few days apparently, a/c to the v nice bloke I spoke to. I think he could hear the terror in my voice.

    Good luck

Ostrich - if you are a girl ostrich and had kids (should that be eggs?) don't forget to ask the NIC people whether you can be credited for the years you took off work to look after them. I had 18 years credited for mine (there's just 15 months between my 2 and they assumed 16 years per child). It may also work if you're a gentleman ostrich. You don't really have to prove anything, just say that you had kids and didn't work between this date and that date - see what they say.
