Window Baskets

Options
I just have to share this, I feel like I have won the lottery.

Mr 4Chickens came home yesterday with spare supermarket fridge/freezer parts. They are made of aluminium and are approx 4 foot long and look like window baskets for want of a better description. I think you find them attached to the front of a fish counter in Tesco that holds packet sauces or lemons etc.
They are about 8 inches deep, solid back, bottom and ends but with an inch square wire front. We are going to drill holes in the bottom and line them and attached them to our wooden pergola. I am dead excited and they cost NOTHING. Our pergola was made from the wooden beams used to transport supermarket fridges/freezers. Mr 4Chickens has done such a good job that you would think we got the timber from a merchant. He also built raised beds in the garden with the timber too. Oh and he used it to create joists under our decking.
I LOVE FREE STUFF:beer:

I love free stuff too! And I also love changing said free stuff into something different - although dh does the work and I shout the instructions

Some of our free stuff for our garden includes,
A pallet- made into a gate to seperate our kennels when our !!!!! is in season
Fish pond lining - became tar poling for under our gravel
    Decking wood -turned into planters
And my favourite a racing car bed which was given to us years ago for ds1 when I needed bunks the car sides where drilled to our fence and a 'top part' was painted in blackboard paint and now the kids have two chalkboards all year round which don't have to be packed away!
