I'd actually advise a new bank account if possible.

I stopped payments going out of my account by ringing and writing to the bank and asking for cpa to be cancelled. I also wrote totje loan company. Then I cancelled my card with the bank. I did this the week before my payments were due. After this although it took a long time I was able to set up repayment plans to pay back all the money. Now along with my dmp I do not run out of money and my debts are going down. I have not had to take out another loan for 9 months.

Good advice too, I do think new bank account is safest option as heartbreak suggests, but probably not possible to change wages transfer in time anyway.

I know some people are saying cancelling your card does not work, and that may or may not be true, but it worked for me, not to say it always will though, depends on the company maybe, just my experience.

Thanks for all the advice. She sent letters to lenders advising them that she is withdrawing permission for payment and has sent same to bank. she has also sent token payment to companies. It is too late for her to change where her money gets paid into - so will have to see what happens when her money goes in. She thinks her salary normally shows up just after midnight and so said might stay up in case payday people dont request until later in the morning,.
