Does anyone use Method cleaning products

I've just spent £8 in John Lewis on Method floor cleaner and furniture polish. I've just tried them out and can't see any difference in this and the usual stuff I use. They smell good but that's about all.

  • I use the lavender general cleaner because it is (I believe) quite green. Most cleaners smell too chemically for me and make me sneeze. Method cleaners don't affect me in that way so that's why I use them.

I have used the laundry liquid, not the greatest but did the job. I use it occasionally as a travel wash as it is very concentrated.

I haven't used furniture polish for years since I read it can cause a build up and dullness in the furniture. I just dust it now and use a barely damp microfibre cloth to remove marks.

Floor cleaner, I have yet to use anything that does the job as well as stardrops white liquid.

I use the Method stuff. I like them because they are a bit more natural and they smell really good - I particularly like the wood polish and floor cleaner (they have a kind of almondy/baby powder smell), and the eucalyptus and mint bathroom cleaner, the hand soaps (they did a gingerbread one at Christmas which was gorgeous) and washing up liquid. I will admit I'm not over-keen on the smell of the laundry liquid but I think the rest of the products are pretty good, although they're not cheap.

Many of the Splosh products are similar to Method ones in terms of scents, and they work out a bit cheaper if you're looking for something a bit greener.

i love the method polishes and cleaners. They dont affect my chest when I use them. The almond wood polish is my absolute favourite.
For washing I really like ecozone. The fabric softeners are really nice.

I use them in between steams.

They don't advertise themselves as being better cleaners than everyone else, the point is they are much more green so you aren't using so many harsh chemicals.

That said,I love their wooden floor cleaner.Just squirt and wipe, brings floors up lovely and shiny and smear free

I use the wood cleaner and it is really good, smells very coconutty, and I wouldn't use anything else.

I bought loads of the hand wash when it was on offer in Waitrose, and like the fragrance and that it is environmentally friendly.

Haven't seen the floor cleaner, but my floor tiles get so mucky that it would need to be quite heavy duty for my needs!!

I use them and they smell lovely and do a good job! If you don't let the cleaning get too bad then they are adequate, if however, it's real mess then maybe something more harsher may work better?
  • I use them, have done for years, and I reuse the bottles for hand foam/ various gels, shampoos, bubble bath etc.

The smell of the wooden floor polish is heavenly! So many cleaning products stink of bleach or perfume and induce migraine in me; these are actually pleasant rather than just tolerable. Current fave: lavender handwash (which I water down and use in the foaming pump bottle :D)
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

I love the Method products for the reasons already stated, my favourite is the mint glass cleaner, it leaves no smears and smells lovely!

The bathroom cleaner is really pleasant to use, and the stainless steel cleaner really brings up brushed metal a treat. Not used anything else.
