Broad Bean tips

Options
I've read that these are edible, and as we have taken the tips out of our broad beans today (and they are not covered with Black fly) I am about to try cooking them to go with our braised pheasant. Apparently you boil them and they are like spinach/spring greens.........I'll let you know!

Has anyone else tried them?

Well, they were quite nice! Very much like spinach and when I cook them next time I will stew them down with just a tablespoon or so of water. Give it a try!

I always used the tips of broad beans, cook like any other green spinach like veg, they do not need a long cook time

And, you may not know, the young beans can be picked & used as mange tout, the whole pod is edible, but as it ages it gets tougher
