Priority goes to those made redundant

Why would this particular group be given priority over, for example JSA claimants/ disabled/ long term sick/ over 50's etc.
    Don’t be a can’t, be a can.
  • There is specific funding available for people who have been made redundant or who are at risk of redundancy.

JC are a pain when you ask them to fund a course i completed a highways maintance course last year but i had to fight hard to get put on it.Constant nagging worked for me but i did have to pay for my CSCS card myself though.

They may not be funded by the job centre (i.e. they pay the rate for the course to the provider) but this will not stop the learner being able to go to a college and get fee remission for being on benefits.

    I am interested in that

    where do I refer to?

Speak to your local FE College about your options. They will have an IAG (Information, Advice & Guidance) team who will normally be available any time the college is open. Don't usually need an appointment, maybe look on the website or call them.
