Tax code personal allowance 2001/2

I'm in the process of a giant clear-out - files going back to 1999 - wage slips, P60, etc. Amongst all these, I find that I have a P45 which is for the tax year 2001/2002, when I worked for about 4 months - and tax was deducted at BR as I hadn't got a tax code - the year before I left work, didn't bother claiming any benefits as I'd only been paying married woman's NI contributions.

Anyway, I'm trying to find out what the personal allowance would have been during that tax year; and also if I have overpaid tax, would I still be able to reclaim it after all this time? I have a feeling that you can't make a claim after 7 years, but can't find anything to corroborate this.

Can anyone give me any info please? After sitting for 45 minutes on the phone to the tax office without any response, I thought I'd get more help here!
