Manchester: Getting from The Printworks to Holiday Inn Manchester West?

My best advice as spake by others is to find the local private hire company and cab it. Now i dont want you to think you are in the bronx or anything but my advice to you is not to walk around in that area especially after dark. Also, when you are outside the gates of the hotel you will see a fire station across the road. Dont go to the left as this is toward central Salford. To the right ,towards the traffic lights and downhill,,the quay street area of Manchester is a fairly short walk. Walking toward those traffic lights, there is quite a nice chippy if you turn right, and a little further on ,a sainsburys. Have a nice trip.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

She's going from the Printworks, not Gorton.
The Printworks area is fine. Easy to get a cab from there, no need to book a private hire, even on a Saturday.0 -
What's your budget for hotels? and how fussy are you? I have done a tour of the cheap central Manchester hotels after many work nights out where I didnt' want to catch a train home!0

Thanks for all your replies...
We aren't 'night people' and probably staying out much beyond 9:30-10pm so I think you're right that we wouldn't have a problem getting a taxi from The Printworks.
We went to the Redhead Day event last year and it was during the day (10am-5pm) but this year they have decided to make it 1-8pm instead so this is why we are looking to stay over and take advantage of being in Manchester on the Sunday too.
We are more used to booking cheap Travelodge rooms for about £19 so rooms over £100 seem very expensive. We do have the option of running to catch the last train (about 8:40pm) but last year we sat and had drinks with other redheads we met and don't want to feel pressured into having to leave.
