Joint or Single BR

hi, my partner and i are both declaring ourselves bankrupt. My question is on our expenditure forms do we do the totals as a couple or single, we also have one child together? I dont work and dont pay for anything, but my boyfriend works and he pays for everything, the debt is all in joint names.

Hi roxy,

We didn't petition for our own bankruptcy so didn't complete the forms that you're doing but the ones we completed for the O.R are very similar. We put the same expenditure on each form, the household total that is, and my salary as income on my form and nothing on my O.H's.

When you say the debt is in joint names are you sure that you're not just an additional card holder on your O.H's cards? If one of you can avoid bankruptcy then it would make life easier for you.
